Convention은 라틴어 ‘convenire'(함께 모이다)에서 유래한 단어로, 사회적 합의와 관습을 의미합니다.
크게 세 가지 의미로 사용되는데, 첫째는 공식적 협약이나 조약(Geneva Convention),
둘째는 사회적 관습이나 관례(social conventions),
셋째는 대규모 회의나 전시회(business convention)입니다.
